New Color - Slate Grey
At least thats what the jackass at the Acura dealer said. I went into acura to check out the RSX for my fiance and they had a Silver 2002 S2000 sitting out front. It was darker than any color I have seen before so I asked the sales rep and he said slate grey. I should of copied the vin# and checked it out on the web. Looked like a repaint to me....but maybe i just never saw that shade of grey before.
Just one of those things....

Next to a Sebring Silver, the Silverstone looks pretty dark. I give Honda more credit than to come up with a third shade of silver, and not have a dark blue car.
IMHO, I don't think that the salesman was necessarily "dumb" for telling you it was slate gray. He's selling cars in part because of his interpersonal and persuasive skills. I've never met a salesperson that was highly technical, or detail oriented. If they were, they would probably be making more money doing something else. Almost everyone that visits S2KI knows more about this car than almost all salesmen. I agree, they should just say, "I don't know", but this sounds like they're ignorant of their products, and many salespeople consider this a no-no. I've talked to salesmen that admittedly knew little about the S2K and although I appreciated their honesty, I can see how some might be reluctant to drop a wad of money with someone that doesn't appear to know what he's selling.

The dude didn't know it was called Silverstone.. The guy at the dealership called Suzuka blue, sky blue and seabring, titanium silver. When i told him what the real names were he said they were only called that in japan.. I was like dumbass look at your friggen brochure..

I saw an internet ad at an upstate N.Y. dealer listing the new s2000 they had in stock as starlight silver. If they are gonna place an ad you would think they would put the correct color name in it not just make one up.
