New to the Forum Just picked up a 2000 Can you help?
Whats up Gang? I just purchased a Red 2000 with 31,000 miles. I paid 18,200. She does have a few scratches and some wear and tear but As you all know the engine is so worth it. I noticed that the original owner has put 245-45 tires in the rear and the front tires are still stock 205-55. Is this a problem? B/c the car is used I only recieved one key with no key fob to lock/unlock the door. Is it possible for me to p/u a key fob that would work with my car?. The car is Honda certified, but what maintenence would you reccomend I do with 31,000 miles. The oil was just changed Any input is appreciated. Thanks a lot

Welcome, and congrats!
225'50 Potenza SO-2's are the OEM tires (rear) so they mst have switched to something else.
Not sure if I would call it a problem but it's not an ideal setup. This car is what I call "tire finicky" and works best with the OEM SO-2 tires. Mix-matching can cause odd handeling in the car. What brand/type are they??
There is a wealth of maintence info in here with how-to's to give you a hand. At your mileage I would first find out when the Differential was changed, Tranny fluid, clutch fluid, and go from there.
You are gonna have SO much fun with this car!

Thanks Fella's for your insight. I don't have any records from the previous owner and When I asked why there was no owners manual or key fob the the dealer said that the previous owner did not have these items to turn in. I was a little skeptical at first and when I checked out the car I noticed that an after market alarm was installed, but again no transmitters. I am assuming the owner lost the Factory key fobs and just used the aftermarket ones. In any case I still went ahead and purchased the car. It could be that I was just caught up in the sound of the engine and this led me to purchase the car. The price was good for me and I am happy. I would just like to maintain the car as recomended. I gues my first purchase should be an owners manual and I should have another key made. Looking foward to hanging with you guys. Thanks again.
