New here, Winter S2K Question
So Im in love with S2ks. I recently received a call from the dealership that I bought my current car from saying they got an s2k in. I would have to trade my AWD T5 Volvo s40 to get the car of my realistic dreams.
The main issue though is that winter is coming, and quick. I live in Nebraska where winters can be rediculous(our winter last year had over 100days of snow on the ground in a row). Do you believe this S2k can survive if I buy blizzaks and drive like an old lady? The reason Im wanting this deal to work is that this car is pristine condition. Went through the buyers guide here on the forums and it passed with flying colors.
Any advice would be great! I realize it should be stored in the winter, but S2ks like this one can be few and far between here.

My friend drives his all year (its his only car), he has Blizzaks and does just fine. He drove the car 2 winter seasons with just all season tires and only got stuck once. His car was lowered on Tanabe springs, pushes snow with the bumper.
The s2k is my only car right now, and I drive it all year long. As long as you have some decent tires you will be fine. I just have some cheap Nexen N3000 tires and mine does fine in the snow. I'm also lowered with tanabe springs, and plow snow with my front bumper all the time. It can be scarry on the highway sometimes, but you just have to take it easy and you will be okay. Just make sure you have the tools in the trunk with your tow hook.

Snow tires ftw.
As long as you are easy on the throttle, it's actually a very composed and capable car in the snow. I drive it over the mountain passes all the time during the winter with no issue.

I drive mine year-round (Prov RI/Lexington MA commute, so I see a fair amount of snow).
Dedicated Winter tires are *highly* recommended. I'm on Dunlop WinterSports, 3D front/M3 rear.
If you go with all-seasons, make sure they are very highly rated for snow, as some suck exceedingly well in this regard. Tire Rack site has a lot of customer survey results including snow performance.
