i'm DDing mine this winter. winter tires are on order. i drove my S around the block last year in the snow with all-seasons and that's as far as i'd be willing to go. any slight hill and i would have been screwed. but there is a certain fun to drifting at 5mph

DD'd mine last year through NY winter with Blizzak WS60s. The s2k with those tires is the best vehicle I've ever driven in snow. Not even joking. F trucks.

Only limitation is ride height.

You can def. DD it in the winter with proper snow tires (Blizzak's rock!!), I did it for 6 years.

The only down side is your "pristine" S2K will probably not stay pristine. The front end will take some abuse from snow, sand, ice chunks, etc.

all good points
not sure what year you're looking at but 06+ S2ks have traction control which would be helpful in the snow
in any event, get dedicated snow tires like the other posters suggest

i asked this question when i bought my S at the start of last summer. So far so good, if your not a show-off 16 yr old vulva cleaner your fine. I try to slip my rear wheels out here in the rain and i have a hard time doing it. Just dont be cheap with tire replacement, i reccomond some 255s in the rear

Well im glad to let you guys know I went to the dealership today, test drove it again, and paid to have them take the car off the market!!

2003 NFR S2000 Owner in a few days

Got it at private party price from the dealer as they were anxious to let it go before winter. Im no punk, however im not old either! Im 21 and going through the Electrician Apprenticeship at the moment. So now I have a nice little treat to show!

Thanks for the answers everyone. However I have one more question. I went to Tirerack to look at winter tires for it. The Blizzaks dont show they are available for the year/model. Are the Firestone Winterforce just as good? If not, what route should I go to grab the Blizzaks(tire shops in town?)

Thanks!

Blizzaks are good.
Michilin X-Ice are good
Toyo Observes are good
the Winterforces will probably be good too.

The biggest thing is to make sure they have good tread with lots of sipes, such as:

Find a Bridgestone dealer in your area and they should be able to get the Blizzaks in your size.
