looks like a fat slug...n it takes up almost all that space the factory intake box took up haha, n yep lookz like itll be soakin up a lil bitta heat too...but hey if it gives more performance then the tsuchinoko, ide rokc it!

Dude, that thing would get head soaked quick. Looks alright, but that filter needs some type of protection from all the engine temps.

In all seriousness, I've seen Password:JDM parts up close before, and I must say that they're very nicely constructed. I'm sure this intake will be great and reasonably priced...compared to some of those "real" JDM intakes (such as J's, ASM, etc.) that are ridiculously priced for what you're getting (which is usually a blob of CF and a K&N-style air filter just like the one Password:JDM is now offering).

The shape is Functional, just needs some fine tuning. Needs two version CF and plastic (plastic being better at heat resistance) and cheaper.

Comptech has the same idea.

When you open up the throttle, the demand for extra air is instantly satisfied creating a better throttle response, due to the air chamber.

That's how I see it anyways.
