Common Myth: the chamber volume helps throttle response because the air "stored" in there can be drawn in when the throttle is opened (applies to Tsuchinoko, ASM).

Fact:
The air in the chamber is not pressurized, so no, it won't be acting as a resivoir for when you open the throttle. The best advantage I can conceive is plenum tuning, i.e., the intake tube is shorter which raises the rpm of the second resonance peak. Also, such a large volume correctly designed could act as a pretty badass subwoofer.

It looks good however it would look and function better with a scoop leading to it.

Comptech has the same idea.

When you open up the throttle, the demand for extra air is instantly satisfied creating a better throttle response, due to the air chamber.

That's how I see it anyways.
In theory, I guess I can see your point. In reality however, I suspect it's a bit of a placebo effect.

The only advantage I see to this intake is air filter inlet diameter is slightly larger than the manifold inlet diameter. In theory (which does not necessarily equate to reality), this will speed up the incoming air. I see absolutely no point whatsoever in that giant bulbous thing between these two points, however.

JDM-tyte though!

Looks like it should effciently suck in hot air from the exhaust manifold and radiator..... LOL.

I guess this is what happens when they stop making copies of other peoples intakes....

It looks like the only way it could possibly suck in more hot air than it already does would be if they just ran the exhaust manifold right into the intake!

It looks cool and gross at the same time. That filter will get horribly dirty without shielding and it will definitely get heat soak.

A+ for effort, F for execution.
