Looks like a CF placenta.

I think if you pull the stock box off you get the gains you're talking about pre-dyno so without comparing it to the stock vs other intakes on the market, there's no real way of knowing what the gains would really be.

I don't like it, but that's just me.

what whale did that penis come from?
humpback

No reason for anyone to get upset, I asked for opinions. I knew not everyone would be a fan of it.

So if they added a snorkel what would you guys think of it?

If you get it dyno'd against other intakes as well as OEM and OEM removed, who cares what it looks like if it performs.

Snorkel or not, this thread is worthless without graphs.

with a snorkel or some kind of heat box i somethink we might have something.

the reason being other than the obvious heat soak. is that when u dyno the hood is usually up and you got that giant fan blowing on it.

but in real world situations the hood is down allowing the heat to be trapped in the bay.

so a snorkel would guarantee those dyno results but in real life.

give them the suggestion lets see what they say

WHO CARES how it looks. Form over function...

Half the pussies on here complaining about how it looks are the same retards who add nonfunctional strut bars to their cars in the name of engine compartment bling.

As for the intake - if it makes power, isn't prone to heat soak, and isn't prone to hydrolocking the motor, then mission accomplished. A good price is just icing on the cake.
I think you mean Function over Form, since:

Function = performance
Form = looks

If I were a betting man, I would put money on the idea that it wont make any more power than other intakes do.
