Default New item on Ebay

I think Macgyver was considering doing something similar to this and I just thought I'd pass it along.

This kind of stuff has been around for a long time. I have a neon liscense plate frame that changes colors and have had it since 94.

Never in my wildest dreams would I consider putting these on a car, especially the S2000 but do I respect other people's right to do what they want with their cars.

For what you get the price is reasonable, but it's within industry norms for that level of complexity.

I'm not overly impressed with thier advertising, though...to be specific, they claim:
1) The biggest kit on the market. Well, they merely added two inches to each standard tube length so they could claim that...kinda silly just to be able to claim that
2) The most LEDs. OK, you have two extra inches to work with, so you put in two extra inches worth of LEDs...no surprise there.
3) LEDs are mounted in a custom 25 degree angle compared to competitors 5 degree angle. Uh, whatever that means. There are a couple of possibilities, but none of them have anything to do with custom capabilities.
4) They use 5mm LEDs compared to the 3mm competitors. Compared against WHO? Every kit I've seen uses 5mm LEDs since they're the easiest/cheapest to get a hold of. And 5mm does NOT mean twice as bright as 3mm...I can find plenty of 3mm LEDs that would blow away some 5mm LEDs...pure rubbish, and THAT claim wins them the MacGyver Award for Idiocy.
5) Their tube are twice as thick as the competition. Well, this isn't necessarily a good thing...thicker tubes are harder to bend.
6) Their staff is put through a 6 month training program before being allowed to install the tubes. What, are the people employed there complete idiots? I could teach a complete novice what to do and what to look out for in half a day...why does it take their guys 6 months to learn it?
7) They're the first with the 7-color kit in the US. Sorry guys, you're WAY overdue to catch up with the rest of the market.
8) Listed on their site, they claim to have been in business for over 5 years, on eBay for 6 months. I see a total of about 4 products on their website and the website is sorely lacking in any material. First, how can they survive selling just 2-3 products (since the fourth, this system, just came out)? Second, if they've been on eBay only 6 months and their website isn't finished, how have they survived the past four and a half years?

These MAY be good kits, but I have serious reservations about buying products from a "company" that makes so many boisterous (and many times preposterous) statements. YMMV...

For what it's worth, I haven't come out with an underbody kit yet as I want to make sure it's going to be worth the money. I am working really really hard to make the business official so I can bring in some outside funding/capital (for example, I was up until 8 a.m. this morning alone working on the business plan, woke back up by 1 p.m. to start work again).

Considering what I had to start with, I believe I've made some excellent progress. In fact, I believe there will be at least one patent (if not more) from some of the ideas I've come up with in the process of creating these things.

For those interested, I can give a rough idea of what to expect in my kit. You will not be limited to 7 colors...if it shows up in the rainbow, you'll be able to select it. It will NOT dance to the music, but I may offer an add-on which would allow it to do that. Demo modes are currently simplistic, but I see no reason why I can't easily copy what's already out there and come up with a few of my own. Brightness levels won't be an issue. My tubes will be smaller AND flexible. Yadda yadda yadda...
