Damn fockers, jeez someone scratched my headlamp unit all the way across the last year and now last week someone scratched a 12" line in my rear window, it's too deep to polish out. I don't understand vandalism, I can understand the motive behind theft beacuse the offender can profit from it but I don't completely understand the motive behind vandalism since there is no benefit to be had.

Sorry to hear about the destruction of your car's finish. I've been hanging out at the Road & Track forum, and it would simply amaze you how much hate there is out there from domestic owners (Mustang and Camaro especially) for the S2000.

Envy, jealousy, hatred, disrespect for beauty, malice of heart. Whoever did that to your car has a twisted soul.

Here's a tip. Do not go to your Honda dealer for a recommendation to a body shop. Go to your Mercedes and Porsche dealers. See if there are any shops they both recommend.

BTW, I know the hoods on our cars are aluminum, are the door panels as well?

Good luck Pinky!!

I'm sorry about what happened to your car. Your post seems to show that you are taking it pretty good. It's a fact of life that others will do these idiotic things for whatever reason. As someone stated above, they probably didn't feel any better when they were done.

Good luck on your repair work. Get the rock chips taken care of too.

The world is full of wicked sh!t. Although this infuriates, it is low on the totem pole of pointless evils. At least your house wasn't bombed because you worship the wrong flavored diety. All we can do is try to bring sanity to our own little corner of the world as much as possible.

Sympathies. Maybe this is the chance you have long awaited to put those ghost flames on your car...

The repairs wont happen before S2K Days. The paint wont be totally cured by then! Plus my car is going in for the 1-2 grind on Tues.

Looks like my policy has a 100 dollar deductable!

Well.....glenn im glad you had a good time. We shall have to swap stories.

I was thinkin....what can I put on my car to cover up that stuff.....I will have to look around at the shop!

I actually feel embarassed to have that written in the side of the car. I mean if it was just scratched then thats fine but it says F*** YOU!

Pinky,

Normally I oppose capital punishment, but for this crime only a public hanging will do. Sorry to hear the news, especially before Asheville.

Looks like soon I will have to really think about picking up a winter/beater for when I don't want to leave the S alone.

WTFFFF! Sorry to hear about the car. Any clue who's involve? Hey! Here's an idea. How about a NEW paint job. Different color maybe?BLUE? If the estimate came out to be half of the new paint job price. Consider it>
Hope everything will turn out good for you.

Pinky,

I just spotted this post and man does this suck! I truly feel for you. People who do this kind of destruction are lower than pond scum and should be severely dealt with. I once had a new car "keyed" so I do partially understand how you feel. The sooner you have it repaired, the better you will feel.

Good luck with this Pinky.

John
