New Megan Header for the S2000!
I'm going for the baseline dyno this weekend, and latest tuesday i'll have the header on with results. I had the headers on and now i have the stock one on, i'm not keeping them whatever the results are but i could tell you the powerband is a lot smoother and the car seems to rev more freely. The intake sounds louder from 6.5k and up, so i have a really good feeling about this header. Any one who has header may relate to the sound i'm disliking, it sounds like a leak, like sand inside the exhaust pipe. I've been told, and i've read that due to the thinner walls on the header the exhaust flow is heard and valves... i dont' know but if you get it you'll see what i mean. I know it's not a leak because it was checked at my local exhaust shop.
Weight = 9-11lbs very very light maybe that's why exhaust flow is heard so much. The weight is correct but give or take just incase my scale is a bit off

Hi.
You promised a Video of the car under the hood....So we see and hear the header. The video quality should be the smallest 160x120?
If you can deliver please do.And if I get you right why are you against of keeping an Aftermarket header?

I seriously dislike the sound, it sounds like a bad exhaustleak under accel. I have taken several video's but the sound isn't detecable. The sound of the intake hum overpowers it, but when you're actually accelerating the car specially at low RPM's it sounds really bad, junky car. I'll see if i could get a betterrecording device, better quality so you could hear what im talking about, i'll upload the dyno video anyways
I'm not against aftermarket headers but if the gains are not substantial then i rather keep a nice sounding car. If you search "header leak" you'll see several people complaning about this typical sound/noise, supposively heard because the walls of the runners are thinner and the exhaust pulses are heard like a ticking/leak sound.

yes sir, others have heard in Toda and others claim Comptach is the loudest, seems that high compression and thin walled header runners don't go together, i'ts normal thing but for my taste, don't like the sound
