well maybe because all headers dont have the shields that the OEM has and maybe the Shields Muffle the sound also and the Sftermarket ones have no shield so the sound is more open-and thin walls also.

I had the Comptach header and sold it for this same reason, it was very loud and the car did not sound as good as it did with the stock header.

I had it jet-hot coated inside and out and it was still loud. If I try this Megan Header I will do the same as well as the wrap.
