Well about all I can do at the moment is drool on my keyboard as I wait for my house to close in a few days so I can go out and get my S2000.Overall I think this is the car for me, I want sporty and performance, this car seems to have it all.
I guess I could ask if there are any options I should go ahead and get when I buy it or should I shop afterwards.I'm thinking of upgrading the tires, since the dealer told me I could trade my original pair in and get upgraded for about 1k more.Has anyone else gotten the better tires from the dealer or did you go elsewhere?Would I be able to trade the tires and rims to a tire dealer ?
Well as my first post Ill make it short, any suggestions or ideas on options or aftermarket addons are welcome.

Welcome to the community of serious drivers, enthusiasts, insomniacs , and "post whores" (most unfortunate name) that make up the S2000 international community.
There are a lot of non-owners who post here, which just goes to show how many people are excited by the S2000. Or, maybe they're just bored

Anyway, I only got one option on my car: Titanium shift knob. It's available cheaper aftermarket from some of the sponsors of this site, so shop around. I also got a shop manual and I've ordered touch-up paint (always a necessity on crappy New England roads).
I didn't even know there was a tire upgrade, but the Potenza S-02's are pretty ass-kickin, Scott. I'm pretty much a fan of the stock vehicle. Others on the board like "interesting" stuff like carbon fiber hoods and tricked out body cladding. Can't figure it really, but 2 each his own!
Best wishes.

So whatcha gonna get? What color?
Welcome aboard!
I don't have any mod suggestions, mine's bone stock and intend to keep
it that way. The only mod I have if you can call it that are the S2000
license plate frames from H and A accessories. I'm sure you'll have plenty
of suggestions from the serious mod appreciaters.

Ironmaul, the S02s are fine. The dealer is the last place I would buy tires from. I'm partial to the OEM tailfin and chin spoiler, but you can get both from other sources for less than the dealer charges.
They all look so damn sexy, its a very tuff call.Red n black,Silver n red.Black N red ,Black N Black. But dammit the blue looks cool too, thanks for the headache ))))

As far as the tires are concerned, the stock S-02s are the best you can get for this car in my opinion. What did the dealer offer you that could be better?
Maul, I was fortunate enough to get a black/black, and although photos never do that combo justice, it's just so pimp stock. Every angle on the car reveals another part of the appeal. It's aggressive one angle, clean from another, gots an ass that would make a (insert topical scandal adherent here) weep. From a decidely *stealth* point of view, black/black is sooo sexy.
NOTE: it is hot as hell, though.

What about SPA YELLOW PEARL . Now that's a fine looking color.

I actually love the S-02's as well. I think unless one is really prepared to tweak the car to
different tire specs, I would stick with the originals, but that's just me.
