New Member with a story:
I thought I would sign up to tell you all what happened today.
I decided to check out my first yellow (don't own any color yet) at a local dealer... Well they said they wanted 5000 over sticker. I laughed, and started to walk ... anyhow, the sales-man suggested that I take it out for a spin; I thought he was joking, and said "yah sure." Before I new it they opened up the big doors and rolled her out.
At this moment I was a little nervous (I am that way). I was uncomfortable because of the stories (told hear) about cold and damp conditions (In my humble opinion the car handles fine in these conditions). I quickly overcame this feeling, and as I was driving it off the lot I looked over at the sales man and told him what my occupation used to be.. ME: "...oh, umm, just to let you know up until about a year and a half ago.. I uhh.. made my living racing formula and sports cars... don't worry I am pretty damn good..." At that moment I dropped the hammer on US 1, and continued to rip off a quick 4 miles (the car had 13 when I got in). The sales man seemed a little nervous while I was driving, but upon our return he had a grin from ear to ear... While smiling he suggested that my brother should have a shot at it. Of course my bro. didn't what to hurt the sales man's feelings.
I thought it was odd that it was obvious I wasn't going to buy it over sticker, that they not only let me drive it, but also my brother... Oh well.
Yes, I V-Tec'ed it....
I will later post my feelings on the drive, and the car.

That sales guy shoud be SHOT because he's an idiot. The car's supposed to be in break in period meaning no VTEC until 600 miles. I would not buy that car if they sale the car for MSRP. Just my 2 cents!

CrushedDreams,
Were you at Open Road Honda in Edison?? You said Route 1, and I'm not sure of another Honda dealer on that road, unless it is in the Princeton area. Just wondering. That's where I bought mine from. They handled me pretty well, but my car was the GM's car.

I feel sorry for the guy who bought the Black/Red about a year and 2 months ago from Jimmy Bryant Honda in Longwood, Florida. The worst (and best) thing they could let me do was drive the car (it sealed the deal with me buying one), and on the test drive, I V-Tecd the hell out of it on my test drive. Oh well, I guess that is the reason why I always lie about the color I want when I'm looking to buy a car. I ended up getting a white one (first color choice) 3 weeks later in South Carolina.
