Where did i say i wanted fart cans? i want mufflers with stock sized tips
A lot of people have put Magaflows on and are happy. Another option is to remove the stock resonator; that gives a little more growl and a bit more noise (no droning, raspiness, just a good exhaust note). A search will provide long threads on both of those options I just mentioned.

if i decide new mufflers (magnaflows) i would want 2.5" in and out.. and also offcenter, correct?
would this work? (two of them, of course)

I put MagnaFlow's number 14325 on mine. Stainless steel, offset, and 2.25 inlet and exhaust. To the average person they will look like stock mufflers. Since they can be seen from the rear, the stainless adds a nice touch. I love the sound, not "ricey" at all. They have a nice deep tone. I agree with thetz99 that you will likely want to keep the resonator with these mufflers to minimize any droning. My resonator is off and with the top up it can be a bit much at certain frequencies. She really sings at the higher rpm's though and I have received compliments from my NSX and Porche buddies. If you are looking for a better sound at a decent price, I recommend them.
