New owner
I am the proud new owner of a 2003 Silverstone S2000.
I had a pre-order for a track 350Z, but finally got tired of waiting. I was glad to find a Silverstone S2000 at a nearby dealer.
I have a few questions.
Break-in: the manual says keep below 5600rpm for 600 miles and not to change the oil until the first scheduled interval (7500 mi). What do you guys have to say about that???
Radio: The manual says the secondary controls only work with the stock radio. Is this true? Is it possible to keep the stock head unit but kick it up a notch? I was wondering where people put extra speakers? Doesn't seem to be a lot of extra space anywhere.
Please let me know and if you have any pearls of wisdom. I haven't been on this site for a while so I have a lot of stuff to go over.
Thanks, Phil.

Welcome. Congrats on your purchase.
You should keep the revs below 5500 for the first 600 miles. Your first oil change should probably be at 3750 miles, but you should check your oil with every fill up.
Go to the electronics forum for info on the sound system. There are quite a number of wizards there. They can answer most any question.

you can get a rfswitch or somethinn at radio cshack it taps into your stock speaker wire at the head unit and has rca's comin out so you can hook up an amp... and goodgoin by ditchin the 350z *shudders*
I had a few reservations about the 350Z. First is they are going to build the hell out of them. 35K units a year. A lot of "kids" will be driving them since they can be had for $27K. Also the first year run may have some bugs to work out. Already the paint is an issue it chips like mad.
Anyway the S2000 and the 350Z are both nice cars.
