Emilio, I love asking this to newbies. Have you found the secret compartment?

Hi, Emilio!

If your company printed the small, fold-out brochure for the '00, then I just want to say thank you!
The beautiful centerfold of a silverstone/red inspired me to buy my car. I waited two long years.
So -- HAVE you found the secret compartment yet??

Hey Emilio,
I brought my S home about 2 weeks ago. I have also been experiencing the "notchy" shift from 2nd to 3rd. I have about 1100 miles on the car now. The "notchy' shifting seems to be very inconsistent. It's not every time I shift from 2nd to 3rd that it happens. And it's not even if the car is warm or not. It's more of a random thing. I do think that making the slight pause (as I had read about on here earlier...thank you for the pointer) in your shifting helps. I have a buddy who is a Honda mechanic. I'm going to ask him the next time I see him if this is normal and I'll let you know what he says.
I also have not experienced any oil loss. I guess we have been "lucky" so far! Congrats on the new purchase! This car is truly amazing!

Helios, I believe we printed the whole 2000 ad campaign but I could be wrong. Sometimes ad agencies will split up campaigns between competing printers. S200raj, I guess I don't know about the secret compartment, someone will have to fill me in. Jstar, my notchy trans is almost exactly as you describe. I have noticed that I don't seem to feel it when I shift above 6500 RPM. Please let me know what your buddy says. Thanks everyone for the welcome, I hope to run into some of you So. Cal members some time. This may be difficult as I haven't seen another S2000 on the road in the week that I've owned mine (kind of cool!)

My 2003 was purchased in November 2002, and I experienced more pronounced notchiness in the 1->2 shift, with occasional notchiness on 2->3. After 4,700 miles, all notchiness has virtually disappeared. I'll still notice a slight accompanying noise during those shifts, but it's nothing like it used to be. Hang in there because the problem might solve itself as the transmission breaks in.

Congratulations on your purchase, and good color choice!

jstar,

Let me know what he says also, as I have the same problem and got my car when you got yours. The pausing shift makes little difference.
