Default New owner...saying Hi

Hi everyone,

Finally....I made my decision to buy the S2000 this past weekend, after almost a year contemplating whether I should get it as my first manual car. A few weeks ago test-driving a friend's S had my heart set. Not to mention that this fourm has been very helpful too.

BTW, Sil/Blk is the color and I got it for MSRP at Norm Reevs, West Covina.

One quick question: do you guys use the convertible top cover when driving top down?

Hi, welcome to the forum and congrats on the new car. I use the top cover almost every time I have the top down. Unless I am not going far or am going to a place where I will not leave the top down with the car unattended.

Spiderman,

Welcome to the show! I have my cover on all the time. I only drive the car with the top down, so the cover stays on all the time. However, at our last meet, we had 7 S2000's and only 2 of us had the cover on. Go figure.

Welcome spidey . . . you made a good choice!

Convertible top cover - what's that? Last time i got caught in a _freak_ rain storm I lost the thing. Good riddance I say.

Unless you could leave it on for weeks at a time it would be a drag undoing it and stowing it on those occasions when you needed to remove it.

I have never seen one on here in Australia, except in one dealership.

Mine was in ther trunk when I took delivery. It went to the back of my garage, still in the plastic, and it will stay there until I sell the car.

Welcome to the club. I've only used my top cover when I was sure the weather would be great all day. Most of the time (nearly three years) the top cover has lived under my pool table. Basically, I don't use it.

Welcome spiderman, what's a top cover. That must be that thing in the garage that takes up room and I wonder why I have it.
