not a bad idea..... I like the fitted enclosures but seems kinda pricey. I really need some bass to compliment my JL componet's but I already have my amp mounted where one of those enclosures would go....

I may end up getting the JL sub that fit's in the well of the trunk....... one day

anyone know what the comparison would be between getting the pair and having two 8" facing each other vs one 12" with a custom box in the trunk well? the pricing is very close.

I was wondering myself about the comparison of this setup vs two rears in the cockpit. I've always heard that it's never a good idea to have speakers facing each other as that tends to cause certain frequency cancellations when the wavelengths are such where they become out of phase. Whether that includes very low (long waves) frequencies, I know know.
