Well, I love the new red interior!!! But what is the deal with all the plastic trim posing as metal. I would prefer titanium or real aluminum. And the door opener are total plastic junk.
But don't get me wrong, it is still the best car out there!!!

Yeah, I have to agree ... Plastic parts sux, but then again ... It's these little things that add up to alot of weight. Though I'm not saying much but I'll rather have metal parts as well. And 99 made S2000s don't exists in the States but do so in other countries.

Didn't want to read all the responses, just want to post my opinion. My S has the MY01 Red interior. And of course I like my red better, BUT if I was in the showroom today I would not have fell in love with a Black S2000 with a red interior like I did back in July if it looked like MY02. I just can't feel that all read with the black knobs and bits. Too pimpy! In the immortal words of Velvet Jones: "Word up bitches, welcome to my layer!"

I don't feel that it's an issue of it being pimping.. i agree with JonasM that it is reminiscent of the classic sports car all red interior. I think that because the red colored interior is extremely red that it gives the false impression of pimping.. Perhaps if it was burgandy or some type of darker red color it would give off less of an ostentatious aura to it... It's neither here or there for me but I'd have to say i like it..

just to clarify, 99 made S2000's DO exist (I have one made Sept 99), but they are imported and sold as 2000 models. they started selling in 99 in many other countries.
