The s2k is slower in the low revs than a Civic and Miata? I'll take that as hyperbole.

People are taking this video way too seriously. Watch the second half and he states why he's ripping on the car some. Seems he does get the point of the car, and he just wanted to be contrary this time around. Parts of it were indeed funny.
