Default New roof, new condensation problem!

Hi all!

Due to a Honda technician brain malfunction my S had to have it's roof replaced. Since then every now and then when it's been pretty cold the inside of the windscreen has excessive condensation on it and I mean to the degree where it covers the whole width of the screen, top-to-bottom and beads of water are running down all over. Putting the heater on full blast with re-circulation takes FOREVER to clear it so I have to use a cloth which I have to ring out as it's so wet.

This never happened before the roof was replaced (year and a half) but has maybe 5 or 6 times since.

I wondered whether it's not sealing properly when closed?

Any ideas?

As ever, many thanks!

Do you hear excessive noise when driving top-up? This would be one sign of an improper seal along the top of the windscreen.

You may want to check and see if your A/C is working.

I haven't noticed any significant increase in noise but that doesn't mean there isn't any. I do, however, seem to have to pull harder on the latches to close the roof.

The A/C def works.

Easy way to tell for a tight seal. While cruising top up at a decent speed pull forward on the top right above the RVM by the handle and see if you can significantly reduce the wind noise.

If yes, your latches need adjustment. If not then I am unsure as to what your problem may be

Rear View Mirror, sorry

There is a handle on the roof, and it happens to be right above the RVM when the top is closed.

RVM - Rear View Mirror!!

I'll check it this evening.

Incidentally - are the latches hard to adjust?

Thanks for the advice.

I'm pretty sure that after you pop off the covers, it's just a bolt. Altho if you have sever wear then you can buy new ones for about $40 USD. You'll need to search tho or wait for more answers as I've never had these problems.

I have just read of others experiencing worn latches.

Good luck

I have really bad condensation problems with mine too. I kept asking other people if they have the same problem and they all said no so I assumed it was a hardtop problem. But i guess not.

I'll check my seals as soon as it stops raining.
