Default New S2000 - 2 switches, what do they do?!

1 is almost behind the steering wheel behind the indicator stalk on the "outside" of the wheel. Seems to light up when in the off position - guess - traction control? (although no lights come on the dash to say this is on/off)

Other is a switch near the auto-windows. Is only on driver side and has a label on the switch which says "on" (or off I forget which).

Any ideas for either? Mine is a 02 JDM if this helps.

Thanks

dont know what you're referring to in the first one? is it to the left or the right of the wheel?

second one controls your passenger window - whether you want your passenger moving it up/down or not

Ah nice on the 2nd one, thats what my mate guessed it was.

The first is on the right side of the wheel on a right hand drive car. Its pretty hard to reach but is a faily large switch - hang on ill try and find a dash pic

The first - that is the VSA Switch, a light does show on the dash that it is on, but in order to switch it off, you have to press the switch for about 2 seconds.

Nope, he doesn't have VSA in a MY02. Either cruise control on/off or rear window defogger. Does it light up green or orange?

i believe that in the uk, which im assuming youre from because of your profile and the rhd, they released a rear fog light button. i think someone said that it was standard in the uk to have a rear fog. i believe this controls it. but i cant be so sure.

The rear fog is a good shout, i'll have a look tomorrow by turning it on and getting out of the car (should really check these things).

Its a JDM tho but does have a rear fog.

Its not a rear de-fogger - plastic window
VSA?

Maltese cars are the same specs as those of the UK, we are RHD as well. MY02 you are right no VSA - Vehicle Stability Assist. So I guess its the rear fog light switch, although on mine, with VSA, the fog light switch is on the left hand side of the steering wheel, behind the indicator/lights stalk.

I think you have headlight washers. Maybe this is it?
