New S2000 Oil Question
I am about to pick up a 03 Suzuka Blue s2000, with a hardtop and I have a couple of questions.
The car has 1900 miles on the car and i trust the preivious owner as he has had a 01 s2000 and 2 NSX's and all three are in impecable condition. My thought was to probably change the oil at 3000 miles. Yes i know that is a little earlier than the 7500 mile recomendation honda makes but I believe that texas wwould qualify for extreem conditions. Thanks for any help.

Change it as per your thoughts. Very few people in N. America would fit under driving conditions that are considered "normal" by most owner's manuals. Car companies really should re-write that section of their manuals. Rename the schedules: "NORMAL" and "IDEAL".
The car is still quite new. The only other thing I can think of is to go to the owner's manual and check out the maintenance schedule for the age of the car and do all the stuff listed there for that age of car and before. "Time" is a primary concern when it comes to the schedule, then comes mileage. Once you've done that, I think you are on your way to happy motoring. Congrats!
