Hey guys,

So I just picked up my new red 04 S2000 last night. Thus far, I couldn't be happier! I got a great deal with a trade-in: I'm paying only $340 a month. Anyways I'm Andrew, 23 years old living in Tyler Tx (about 2 hours outside of Dallas).

So what goes on here? Just your typical car enthusiast forum? Are there any well-known threads relating to issues with this car that any new owner should be aware of, etc?

I'm quite new here too (picked up our '00 S2000 earlier this Month) and have learned a LOT by digging in and browsing the forums in depth. The folks here are indeed very helpful, but spend a few hours with your sleeves rolled up and just dive right in and root around.....there's gold in them thar posts

Yea, I'll be doing some searching around on here. Its amazing how internet forums have revolutionzed the ease of mass communication and availability of such huge amounts of information. Any common person can get on one of these forums and educate themselves a lot on the ins and outs of cars, find out about precautions and other information that they wouldn't have been able to do even just 10 years ago. Pretty cool. Thanks for the welcome

 

make sure spring spacers are out, change diff fluid at 5000 mi, make sure you know where the secret compartment and gas filler release knob is, etc etc etc

 

Change the Diff fluid after 5000 miles? Why is that , is that a Honda recommended service? I have 6,300 on my MY04.

 

Found the gas door release. What secret compartment? The one that is located by the ***censored*** ?
