New S2000 is reportedly "mid-engine"
The AP1 from 2000-2003 is a mid engine car (front mid engine by definition). I would guess that the majority of AP1 owners don't know they are driving a mid engine car. It is clear the writers claiming a new S2000 don't. The AP2 is not a mid-engine by the way ( do your research). My guess is they are returning to their roots.......

Have your fun have not smoked in years ( but may have a few years back). New S2000 is coming in 2017 according to reports (NSX and JDM 660 in 2015). All the writers are fixated on the next Gen being mid engine....which the AP1 was.
Can't decide on next Gen NSX or next Gen S2000.

OK, so I haven't 'done the research', but how is the ap2 not mid-engined? Both ap1 and ap2 engines mount in the same location, both engines are same size externally. Wheels are in same location. How can they be different?
They aren't different. You are right. OP cannot refute your logic but I look forward to the follow-up. It seems the "AP2 is not mid engine" line was specifically noted for whatever reason, otherwise I wouldn't emphasize the correction so much.
Hmmm the fact that I have an Ap2 motor (f22) in my ap1 with my ap1 transmission. Along with other ap2 parts that bolt right up. AP2 is the same as AP1. Idk how someone can say its different. Besides looks for the most part. They are both mid engine.
