Hey guys! I just got my 2001 Silverstone S2000 a few days ago. Please let me know what you think about the price. It has 31,000 miles and they were asking $18,500. I paid $20,000 even out-the-door. The car is in great condition, it just needs a new back window. I'm probably going to get the 2002 soft top. I'm going to try and get pictures posted soon. Please let me know what you think.

Thank you.

You can hate me now, it's ok.

Now that I can read what you wrote, let me see. $20,000 for a 2001 might be a little high, but the mileage is good, and it sounds like you believe the car is in good shape. If you want my opinion, which I know you do because you posted in the first place, it doesn't matter what you paid. As long as you have an S2000 now and you're happy, then you're doing fine.

Let me ask you this:

If someone was to say, "Oh god, you paid $5,000 more than you should have!" What would you do? Try to return it? Just be happy you've got it, and be proud!
Congratulations on the car, and we'll look forward to the pictures when they come.

Welcome and congrats.......

Don't listen to "bposeley"......you could have told him you paid $15,500 and he would have believed you....

bposeley, are you still waiting for Ryan's dyno on the group buy? j/k

Hey man, I was just saying that it really doesn't matter what he paid. Because people can't go and "return" their cars to a dealer saying, "Oops! I should have bought it over at The Other Car Place because it turns out you guys overcharged me." I was just encouraging him to enjoy the car. The $5000 value was just a number I pulled at random.

I know......I was just bust'n balls......

sorry if I offended you....

It's all good.

And yeah, I want to see the Dyno because I don't believe that chip is worth anything. I think that he introduced three new "mods" to his car and tested it to see what he could get. There is no way of knowing in what way that chip may have contributed to the HP gains he was describing.

Of course, since I may be the most gullible person on this board, (but also the most well-intentioned) he may have been messing with me here too.

At least I know enough not to go out and buy one. If I can't detect when people are being sarcastic/lying/whatever, I can deal with that.
