Recently I noticed that the car will move ever so slightly when engaging 1st gear or reverse with the clutch pedal on the floor and the engine cold and running(choke is on... or what ever the equivalent is for our car) at a high idle. I can sometimes get it to do it a second time... but never after a couple of shifts and/or the car is warm. Any one else with similiar experience?

That has happened to me even when the car is warm. It doesn't happen when I downshift into 1st coming to a stop, just when I coast to a stop with the clutch depressed.
Is it a misaligned clutch or is my car just anxious to get moving again?

Kind of interesting. Could be the clutch is partially engaged, but the car would probably have a hard time idling. You can test the clutch by simply noting where in it's travel the car starts to go. It should be about half-way up or higher. Most likely it's because the clutch was out while in neutral and the primary shaft in the tranny was spinning pretty fast. When you shift into gear the syncro-cones have to turn this energy into something and you may feel a slight surge forward. If it continues to pull while the clutch is to the floor you may have some problems.
