I also saw a replacement REPAIR piece of materal in the Honda book for the top? Can anyone tell me what this is????. Dose it replace the center section of the Top? That would be great, because thats where my tear is right above the release's tahsnk Mike

Maybe get it fixed at a convertible repair shop. If you want it replaced, you can buy a top at hardopguy (hardtopguy.com). Installation will be expensive though.

dont waste your time going to an apholstry shop all they will do is glue a piece of rubber on the inside. it wont seal it but will keep it from getting bigger they told me. i have mine patched right now with duct tape on the inside and 3M weatherstrip adhesive. working pretty well! you can buy a new top from topsonline.com (almost everyone on here that has a new top recommends VERY highly) for about 600 bux. ill be buying one in a month or so. if you get it professionally installed it will run about 1500. i plan on attempting it myself along with a DIY article i found on here that a member documented step by step along with pictures of each step. shoot me a pm if you have any questions or want the link. i dont remember it off hand and will have to find it for you if interested

yeah, it appears topsonline also has the best prices compared to other sites. are you sure that somebody cut it 'cause that seems to be the statistical wear area of the top (near the latches)...

Just know if you plan on replacing it, this will be very expensive.

If it's an L cut shape, sounds like the latches caught on the top as it was being lowered/raised, and ripped it. I've seen a couple threads with pictures that have that specific cut.

Sounds like somebody didn't latch the latches before lowering the top.
