Default New Unique Custome Intake

So I got bored with the stock intake with the top off (which was how I was running it) so I decided to make a custom intake set up pictured below.

took me a while to get it all done i also did a coolant bypassing the throttle body and the idle air control sensor with a simple hose.

I really like the design i did i think it looks cool gets air where its not very hot ,ect

I was really surprised how much differnt the intake noise is Very higher pitched much more ricey which i wasent thrilled about almost like a bike or somthing i might get used to it but not sure, im not sure why i guess cause its so short and its now a metal arm vs. rubber. Have any of you guys had this same higher pitch effect in anyway with other intakes?

As far as power I can definetly say i havent lost any, possibly gained but i dont specialize in butt dynos like a lot of guys here lol.

My lesser concern is the upper coolant hose being right below the intake arm which i put some viynl wrap around and im not too worried, i dont think the air will get very hot passing through there.

My bigger concern is water getting to the filter, I tested it spraying the closed hood with a water bottle and some slight water gets on the filter and around the area any ideas except changing back to stock in the winter rainy seasons??

so im looking forward to your guys opinions thanks and have a goodnight.

If it performs good for you, sweet! The main reason I wouldnt do this or a CAI setup is b/c I cant stand the huge open space in front of the motor.

Just out of curiosity, why did you route it to that side of the engine bay? It seems like all of the aftermarket systems (FIPK, etc.) go to the other side.
