Default Is that the new Z8?

Hi,

overhere the most popular carmagazine Autoweek had an article on the cover about the Z8 last week. It was a Silver/Red (I've never seen another colorcombo for it?). While at the gas station last week 3 times people were asking whether it was the Z8. Even one guy said he always was a big BMW fan. It took him a couple of minutes to read the Honda sign on the side (in Europe it says Honda S2000 on the sides). It was quite hilarious!

I have not had anyone mistake mine for a Z8 but of course mine is yellow. I can understand a silver/red or black/red though.

I am sorry to say, but it would really take an idiot to identify an S2000 as a Z8. Maybe what he/she/they meant was Z3 (Still unbelievable). You should have told them "No, it is the Mclaren F-1 Convertible Special Edition by Honda"

He,
it was not me who said it. Not too many people have seen a Z8 live. Although from jan-apr there where 20 delivered in the Netherlands (it's sold out, it was 15 max for the year, but grey import must account for the other 5) and only 18 S2000's

There are still people mistaking the S2000 for an MX5 (Miata for AMericans) so I don't think it's a strange mistake. Especially in Silver/red combo.

I remember last year, when my car was stuck in the snow (I know, I know, I am not suppose to drive in the snow). Anyway, I finally found a Sears that carries blizzak in my size. I went in the afternoon to install after my work send us home during the mid-day due to heavy snow-fall.

While I was waiting in line to get my tire installed, one of the guy came up to me and says, "Your Z8 does not move in the snow! You figure when a car cost 100K+, they would at least move in any weather condition." I just smiled, and said I wish I could afford a Z8. and, the rest I think most of you had already experienced.

I just thought, that was pretty funny.

One of my neighbors in Boca has a Z8. I haven't talked to him yet but I see it all the time. Supposedly only (400) were imported into the US. Another car dealer friend says they're bringing around $240K at the auctions. List around $150K

Just a few tidbits.

There was one in the Auto trader here for 148K used with a couple hundred miles on it.
Also on a side note the doorman at my work didn't realize it was a Z8 and we parked it on the side of the hotel. When they told me about it later I couldn't stop laughing.
