Default Newbie coming from the Darkside...

Hello everyone and Happy Thanksgiving!!! I am new to this forum, but not forums in general...I used to drive a '99 Estoril blue ///M3 coupe until recently...it was totalled I have to admit, I have been pretty down in the dumps lately b/c of the accident, and I have been looking for a cool replacement car. I didn't want another M, not b/c I didn't like it, but b/c I couldn't bare going through finding another one to my liking, and replacing all the things I had on it.....so I decided to check out the S2000. While I have to admit a lot of people on my old forum don't care for Honda's, I wanted to keep an open mind. I test drove one and just fell in love...having owned an M, the S isn't as quick, but the fun-factor is increased big-time. Actually, I'm not even a convertible fan, but there is just something about the S. I will be picking up my new/used S tomorrow ...it is a my2000 ...silver(sebring or silverstone, I'm not sure) w/ black leather, fully loaded w/ only 10k miles!!! I'm so frikken excited!! Anyways, I just wanted to say hi to all you fellow S owners, and I look forward to being part of this forum....it looks awesome.

thanks,
-Rick

Congratulations, you can always get a hardtop, the Honda one looks pretty darn nice I think. I'd wait till a few top down drives though before going that route. Have fun.

lol i agree on that

although i don't own a s2000, i've been studying s2000
if you didn't get the car yet consider the MY2002-2003 s2000, because they have glass rear window, i read a lot of stories about how they don't like the plastic in my2000 s2000.

99 m3 should cost more than a used s2000 anyway

but sry to hear about your car rorrick

Just bought a 2000 Silverstone with black interior also. Trust me you won't be dissapointed. I've had the car 3 days and fell in love. Although I don't like the plastic back window as much as the glass one, with proper care, and taking that it is not already cloudy, you can keep it clear and scratch free. Now to just replace the $150 sound system and all will be good.

Congrats on your decision. For the record, you color is Silverstone Metallic. Sebring didn't come online for the S2000 till 2002. Silverstone is the same silver painted on NSZs in the late 90's.
