Newbie here...shower me with your experiences!!!!
I agree with Marcus, but being in the same boat you were, i can say i was not dissappointed in the least bit.
Before I bought the S, i had a 1997 Mercedes - Benz C280 Sport (AMG Wheels, suspension and steering components)>>> That I-6 was a beast, it drove great, had awesome low end, beautiful top end, and was meant to be a highway cruiser. 120 in that car was like 50 in most others. Very stable, you could definitely feel the weight. Then I bought the S. Granted it was a lot faster, it still didnt have the go of the benz off the line, that is....until i learned how to drive it!
Get behind the wheel, there is no experience like first hand!

If they've got the 03 there then by all means, compare them.
Something you may also want to consider comparing. These are what Honda considers the top competetors to the S2000, you may also want to drive them:
Porsche Boxster
Mercedes-Benz SLK
BMW Z4 Roadster
Audi TT/TTS
Nissan 350Z Roadster
All are great vehicles with their own sets of pros/cons, including the S2000. Drive them, think about them, look at the modification scene for each model and how much the mods cost (if you're into that) and then make your decision. Hopefully it will be the S2000, but in the end, you have to live with what you are comfortable driving and paying for.
Good luck!
