newbie on maintainance light (help?)

Default newbie on maintainance light (help?)

sup fellas i know know.....search...

here's what happened, i was driving my car and the maintainance required light came on, it blinked 10 times and went of... my car is around 100-102K....is there a 100k service? i know there's 75k .... anything would help, thanks guys!

Don't worry about it. That light just comes on every xxx amount of miles to remind you to change your oil and other fluids.

You can find the reset procedure in your manual. The light flashes when an interval is approaching. When the interval is reached it goes steady.

An interval is defined as a number of miles since the last reset.

I sold my '00 honda accord a few years ago. The maintanence light was had just come on the a day or two before I sold it. The purchaser comes to take delivery and freaks out about the light being on. I tried to explain it came on every xxx miles as a reminder. The purchaser was a chick and there was no way of convincing her of this fact. Well long story short, a $150 discout to the purchase price got her in the seat and money in my hand....

Moral of the story: Always know your service manual.
