Default Maintenance required light on MY05

Hello,

On my MY05, I am seeing this maintenance required light flashing when I first start my car and it will disappear after several seconds. Does anyone know what this means? I thought that if actual maintenance was required, the light would stay on constant.

I would check my S2000 manual but when I bought it, it only came with a French version and not the English. Lpl.

I did do a oil change recently but I didn't do anything to reset the maintenance minder since I don't think the MY05 had that.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

It's just a reminder that comes on for oil changes I believe. I had the same thing a few weeks ago. Here is how to get rid of it https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/883...equired-light/

Exactly. It comes on at those intervals regardless. As long as you're up on service, just reset the light and you're good to go!

Now that you mention it, I haven't seen my light come on in several years. Maybe it's burned out?

Thanks for the help guys! Makes sense. I didn't do anything to 'reset' the light time I changed the oil.
