Default Newbie needs some advice

Having lurked on the boards for the past six months, I am finally making my first post!

Here is the situation: I am planning to buy an MY02 in the next month or two and I have a couple of questions about tires on the S.

The first question is, considering that I live in the DC area, which tends to be cold and rainy in the fall, do you guys suggest I purchase S03s or all weather tires? If all weather, what tires do you suggest?

Second, keeping in mind tire life, would you guys suggest buying S03s for the Summer and switching to a set of all weathers for the rainy and cold months?

Finally, does anyone have any advice on dealers/services centers to get the car serviced in the Northern Virginia area?

Thanks for the help!

Will

I'm pretty sure everyone uses S-0* tires in your area.

Will, you have a very active community in the DC area.

Good luck buying the S! I look forward to welcoming you to the community.

I am in DC as well. I think you really need to consider the Dunlop SP 5000's. They are ultra high performance all season tires. All season certainly doesn't mean you can drive in 6 inches of snow, but if it starts to flurry, you can make it home.

The tires wear better than the S03's and are quite good looking. Plus, the tires don't turn to iceblocks in the winter.

Use tirerack.com for the best deal on the tires.

You should probably move this discussion to the DC forum, Will.
