OK, here's my plug for S2KMan's Sony Direct Control Unit. You retain the MUTE button function and each of the remaining buttons (MODE,CH,VOL+,VOL-) can be programmed for 2 functions by selecting either a push or a push/hold on that button. You can program it anyway you want and I've configured it to turn my radio/cd on and off, change between cd and radio, increase/decrease volume, go up/down tuner presets, forward/back cd tracks, radio +/- seek, all this from the dash controls. woo hoo, just hit 2nd gear. I'm good for at least 66 mph now, huh?
