Hey guys,

I'm new to the forum, and I was hoping some of you could help me out. I'm interested in picking up this used S2000 but when I went to check out the car's VIN number on the dash it only had the first 5 letters JHMAP and nothing else on the dash VIN plate. The first 5 letters did match the full VIN located on the sides of the door. Are they suppose to be this way? BTW, this is a canadian car....

i'd think all the vin's would match, maybe it isn't stolen but maybe it's wrecked to sh1t previously...

 

That's all mine has, too. Check the door jams and match them to the VIN under the hood.

Are you looking at a late 99 or 2000 model?
