NFR Eyelids

Default NFR Eyelids

Ok, just got my eyelids in RS Type... the came in black, but i want to paint match them NFR... what paint must i buy to match up the NFR? Anyone done this yet? Pics?

How many coats of NFR and how many coats of clear?

OR should i leave it black? would that be a cool effect?

I would definitely paint them. If you are getting anything else done at a bodyshop they will probably do it for free, but by themselves I would say like 40-50 bucks to paint. You should just buy some painted ones from Mptuning.

i already have the black ones.

im going to black them and gloss them and then have sweet black eyelids...

i'll post pics when done...

i would just try to paint match to red. black and cf eyelids do not look good in my opinion. however, to each his own.

when I have painted my cars in the past I have always removed the gas door and left it with the paint shop. They can mix to the paint code spec all they want but that never takes into account the amount of fading from exposure to the sun over the years.

Not as big a deal on metallics and pearls but on flat colors like berlina, NFR etc etc it really does come into effect.

If you go for black then dont worry about it but if you are going to color match then the painter should evaluate the paint code mix down to the gas door and compensate for the differences. IMHO
