After reading an earlier post from a 350Zer I thought I would check out their site. I registered and starting reading posts and this one was the first one I came across just browsing, not searching, that mentioned the S2K.

It is a good post with fair comments about both cars. What it reiterated for me is that the biggest difference between the two cars is what your personal tastes are. I considered the 350Z prior to purchasing my S2K and may consider them again in the future after the first couple of model years (unless Toyota resurrects the Supra).

Just wanted to show the S2KIers that they're not all bashing away on us at 350Z.com.

I'd like to agree with you, but I can't. If you visit the forums of Honda cars like ACL.com or ATL.com and of course, s2ki.com and others... you will find that each time Nissan introduces a new model aimed at Honda, these Nissan fans pop up on the Honda forums to bash the Honda cars to death without any common-sense or real car knowledge, thinking the Nissan cars are all that. Well, it's about respect, I think the Nissan cars are nice cars as well, but I wouldn't just go there and post all sorts of negative comments about their cars just because I own some cars that are their direct rivals. Just my 2 cents.
I get these nasty looks from G35 drivers when I drive my TL-S, and I get these nasty looks from Z owners when I drive my s2000, I mean, com'on. Right now I really don't have too much respect for the Nissan fans.

I think the main problem is that There are TONS of trolls there right now and 99% are F-Body/Stang trolls. Plus the fact that most of the newbies are idiots and the board is turning to shit. The people that I deal with and whose posts I normal read are more then intelligent and non-judgemental pricks. It's the tons of lame newbies making lame comments who don't even OWN the damn car and the Stang owners that are talking tons of shit that are just making the whole Z forum/owners look dumb. OH and whoever stuck up for me Big Thumbs up, thanks guys!

 

i am the proud owner of a Maxima SE (love that car) and soon-to-be owner of an S2000 (once I get to CT to pick it up)....I just don't understand the animosity that so many other sites have towards other cars...I like Nissan, but that doesn't mean I beat up on Toyota, I bought a Honda.....does that mean Nissans suck now? People need to grow up...That track meet would have been a great event...I hate it when stupid people ruin potentially great things.
