Default No Alarm?

I just realized that if you lock your car with the keyless entry and have top down or windows down and reach in to unlock and open the door NOTHING happens!! On my 01 accord, when I locked with keyless entry and you tried to reach in and unlock the door the horn will sound. I think there is an alarm system that can be bought at the dealership for the s2k but my accord doesn't have any special alarm either, just wondering why the s2k wouldn't have this feature considering its a convert. and all. I assume this is normal? I have an 07 btw is there a way I can have this feature without installing an aftermarket alarm?

Get a viper alarm with a 2-way pager.. If someone sticks their hand inside the car and doesn't even touch anything the alarm goes nuts on em.. I've seen some ppl do it sometimes when I have Laptops or W/e with the Top down.

It's worth it IMO..

oem karr alarm?

who offer you what?

i have the optional OEM alarm package and it's equally worthless, it has a glass break sensor, auto lock/auto arm function and when it's armed, the alarm will goes off i someone tried to open it from the inside.

Alarms are for honest people, and a determined thief/vandal will have no problem with it.

I'm sure the alarm isnt going to stop a determined thief but I just find it odd that Honda wouldn't add this feature to the s2k. I don't want to walk outside and see my friend sitting in my car when I have the top down. haha

The OEM alarms works well in the case you presented. When I first got my car, I'd keep the top down while parked at home. My roomies would always fk with me and stick their hand in to sound the alarm, knowing full well that I'll come running down in 2 seconds. I now keep my top up at home.
