Default Hornet 700T alarm arming

I installed the Hornet 700T alarm and everything works fine. One annoyance I found is with the ignition off and I lock the driver door manually through the door switch the alarm is activated as well, which I don't want when I'm inside the car. I believe this happens since the alarm is armed from the keyless door lock input.

For those with this alarm, do you experience this issue? Does the OEM alarm also operate this way?

Thanks.

Is this on an S. I'm assuming so. I checked the manual, there does not seem to be a solution to this, except to NOT lock the doors unless the ignition is on. On page 17 of the install manual it does state about correctly connecting the RED disarm defeat wire for the 2 stage unlocking system that is on the S. Check to be sure you connected properly. Although I doubt it will affect your outcome of locking/arming from inside, it is a good security option to take advantage of. One thing this alarm is lacking is ignition activated door locking, which comes on similar full alarm models from Hornet. That would lock the doors for you when they were all shut and you turned to ignition.
