"No Fade" 7440 bulbs?
turn signal bulb - available thru honda
running lights (the little ones that sit below the turn signal ones) -available thru honda
that post talks about BOTH. the part # i found is for the turn signal bulb, dog.
As for the what's the point of having clears if amber is peaking thru.... the point is you stay legal and it looks factory. blue lights - illegal and fart pipe guys will love you for it and guys like me will find it comedic. painted lights - whatever, do what u do with your paint and brush.
and if people are going to intentionally blind themselves by looking straight into the HID lights to check out the fact that you've gone so far as to put polarg whatever bulbs so it looks cleaner... pls. not rice, but definitely a non-impact mod.

AMEN WRS2k!!
Now, for those of you like me who want to know what's up with "No Fade" 7440's, here is the answer to e-mail I sent to questions@lightlens.com:
Japanese colored bulbs ("No Fade") are manufactured using colored glass instead of the less expensive painted or dyed glass bulbs from Taiwan and elsewhere. The Japanese bulbs keep the color much longer. Should be less noticeable with just amber bulbs, however.
You can order either from www.litelens.com, or other sites like it.

All right man damn, I was just sharing some information that I found about bulbs. Is that all right wiht you "dog".
If you wanted it to look factory than why mod the car at all?
What do you consider a non impact mod anyway?

So your clear your lights...and then you gotta put an amber bulb behind it to be legal only to have amber showing again, huh?
Guhhhh...
... Well, there is hope my friend
. You can buy the ambers from PepBoys...but lets do a lil trick I've been offering more and more with folks whose corners I've cleared. Before you insert the amber bulbs, do a lil masking and painting
. Mask off "the inner, lower 1/3rd" of the bulb lightly with masking tape. Imagine (if the bulb were inserted into the housing, you would want the masked portion to be that which is facing towards the center/grille and below portions (easy to *see*...hard to say
). Also, of course, mask the wedge part of the bulb so that the filament contacts are not sprayed. DON'T mask the dome of the bulb...just its inner & lower side. Now, use some Hi-Temp Aluminum spray paint and spray that bulb.
Once it has dried, and you remove the masking tape, what you should be left with is a bulb that has *some limited amber showing*...but not easily visible when the bulb is sitting behind the diffuser. But when you actuate your turn signal or emergency flashers....voila...
...you have a "turning indicator that displays amber."
If that don't make sense in reading it...and if you have time to wait just a bit...the next time I have to paint some of my own bulbs up for a conversion, I'll be sure to take some pics and post them
.

Hey W1ngman whats up, you cleared my lights for me a few months ago still looks great.
I sprayed the whole bulb except for the contacts. I also went kind of thick with the paint, but it still shines through.
Even though I think the lights look better this way others like to have the amber still.
I still am kind of interested in the no fade bulbs. I think these Pep Boys things might start to fade after a while, even if they are painted.
