Hey guys,
I'm going to go check out this S2000 out today, and the guy said he has no log books:

He said on the phone, "When I bought the car, i didnt get log books"

Should I trust this guy?

I would certainly talk to him and have a close look. Looks in very nice condition - was that an original color in Aus(or is this a respray? if so, why?) We don't get "log books" when we buy in Canada either (if you mean like the log books you must maintain for an aircraft) - we get a manual and a warranty book and service book (are these what you call "log books"?). Is he the original owner? If so, my antenna would be up because in my mind any new owner of a car like this that doesn't keep track of all the paperwork that came with the car. might not have taken care of the car the same way that I would have or I would have liked him to have if I was buying it from him. So I would be looking for the usual signs of wear and tear in carpets, door thresholds, compression check etc. Good luck.

Yeap, its called a log book but its the same thing as a service manual where you get it stamped everytime you get it serviced.
I'm asking s2ki because I asked in an australian forum and they've been telling me its a repairable write off but also post on here because they might know more about the car...
Sad too see such a nice car might have been in an accident...
