Default No Oil Loss...

about 2200 miles on the car now - didn't break it in that well (came to me with 100 miles of test driving, plus I dipped into the VTEC about 4 times in the first 1000 miles)... but I checked the oil tonight and its still topped off.

I think he was referring to whether or not he did a cold or hot oil check.

I honestly don't see any changes in my oil level as well and I have an 02 with 36k almost 37k miles on it.

FWIW:

14,500 miles on mine.
No vtec during the 1st 600 miles.
Started autocrossing it at 700 miles.
1st oil change at 1,700 miles. Dino oil and Mr. Moly.
2nd oil change at 5,000 miles. Dino oil.
3rd change at 8,500 miles. Mobil 1.
It's been 6,000 miles and 16 autocross days since that oil change and I've added less than 1/2 a quart.

I'm pretty happy with that.

I can believe this. I have a 2003, I bought with 2400 miles on it. Used oil all the time. Dealer replaced the short block at 23k miles (diagnosis was a siezed piston ring on number 4). I have 29k miles on it now. The new engine went through proper break in. Oil changed at 1500 miles on the new engine and also added Mr. Moly.

Now just after 3000 miles on this oil change, it has not used a drop of oil. I always check cold, over night. I vtec very often, after warmed up.

Just hit 24,000 miles or so. In the last 4,000 miles the car consumed just a bit over 5 (yes, five) quarts.

The car's been broken in as recommended by the manual.
