Default Noise help , tapping noise.

stock motor at 185k
I have an aftermarket tct forgot if bill man or ballade from many years ago. Should be same?

greddy emanage using octane boosters to bump 91 to 93

You can hear the tapping noise easily either hood open or close
the tapping is maybe easier to hear after the hood closes “ Ta ta ta “ distinctive sound heard after hood close

When’s the last time you adjusted valves? Also check your oil level. Make sure it isn’t low. Other thing comes to mind could be chain guides.

Typically clicking noises will be attributed to needing a valve adjustment. I do mine once a year actually!

~40k since last adjustment. I've read that the valves could stay in spec for 100k?
