Default Noises from my convertible top

Hi,

I bought my S2000 last week and love it!!!

It is 2 and a half years old and has done 28K miles and seems to be in superb condition. My only concern is that when I drive with the roof up the convertible top seems to creak a bit. Just wondered if this is normal (I've never had a soft top before) or if there is something I can do to reduce the noise a bit?

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Jeremy

yes it is normal. it happens to mines too. when you hit a bump it sounds bad. maybe applying some 3m foam near the hinges would quiet the sqweak down a little.

Not normal, exactly - my passenger striker creaked when the top was up and the dealer replaced the strikers and latches on my top and greased everything to fix the problem.
