So help me out here gang. My MY04's passenger side roof lock hinge is squeaking. Was thinking of W40ing it to get rid of this annoying squeak that comes everytime I hit an unsmooth surface, i.e. speed bump, road nipple, or on rough asphalt. Will the dealer fix the problem for free? I forget what the bumper-bumper warranty was or is there a quick fix I can just do myself?

 

Mine just started doing this as well. I've found that if you quickly unlatch it a little and then latch it again, the noise stops for a few miles. I keep forgetting to put a small dab of Mobil1 grease where the latch grabs the striker.
