Default noob question

everyone's saying how the new model 04 s2200 will have a "torquier engine" compared to the current model. i've read that they will have to lower the revs (current model's revs have good wow value). my question is how is torque measured? how is it created? couldn't there be a way to add a "mod" to your car to give it more torque? total noob question. thanks

yes. you can always add a supercharger or turbocharger to up the torque and power from the stock motor.

honda probably increased the stroke of the engine of their 2.2 to add the .2 displacement. and the reason they have to lower the redline is because the longer stroke will result in more piston travel for each stroke and thus more heat produced. the lowered redline thus is more for combatting the heat issue than anything else.
