Default Noob question

Searched for the answer and I couldn't find it, so here I am:

Noob question for you all, planning to change my own oil.
Will changing my own oil void my warranty? Guess I've never cared about a warranty until this car, but now it's an issue

Reason I'm asking is how does one prove the oil was changed at correct intervals? The maintenence manual has a place for a "seal" to be placed by mechanics. Can I just sign that box? hahahahah

10W-30 oil and a new oil filter (the Honda PCX is very good and really not that overpriced). Its all right in your owner's manual. Just keep a log of when you perform the work and with what products you used.

I log all my stuff right here on the site Honda has made for us; it also makes it very easy to print out for the next owner to see.

With regards to keeping your bills, make sure you keep the bills(receipts)
for the oil you purchased showing the brand, weight and quantity.

Yeah, you'll be fine. Just make sure you pick up the PCX filters from your local dealer or from hardtopguy.com as they are special high flow filters for our car. Most aftermarket ones don't cut it.

Also, make sure you leave in the original oil for the recommended period if you're talking about your first oil change.

I think Honda says to leave the factory fill oil in for at least 5000 miles. It may actually be in your owners manual.

3,750 miles or 6 months, whichever comes first.

Personally, I changed mine a little bit early.
