is it normal for the engine to move/shift
halfway through this video, the engine appears to move laterally as i said.

no, i've had a 1987 plymouth reliant k-car, a 1995 nissan altima, a 2004 RSX, and a 2005 TSX before this car. i don't remember feeling the engine movement through the steering wheel on any of those cars, but then again, they're all a bit more detached from the road than the S2000.
As everyone has said definitely check the motor mounts. As I don't have one of these cars (yet
) I'm unsure where they are, but they should be near the bottom center of each side of the engine, bolting it to the crossmember. It's either a rectangular slab of rubber or a circle of rubber surrounded in a metal casing around the circumference. If theres a lot of cracking/tearing on either, replace immediately.

When you start the car does it sometimes feel as if the engine is jumping of it's mounts?
I was missing the lower mounts on my B18 civic, but i could NOT feel it move when I revved. I think that could be because I had some serious hasport mounts holding it together everywhere else. I don't think it moved at all when I revved.
Could your mounts be worn out?
